Meet Pei-Chi Lee

We’re delighted to introduce one of our latest Select Trail 2018 artists, Pei-Chi Lee, a Taiwanese textiles innovator who specializes in vibrant and expressive embroidery.

Lee is inspired by Pop Art, comics, feng shui symbols, music and humour, among many other things, and it’s the joyful convergence of these that we’re enjoying so much. Lee’s textiles and garments are full of illustration, story-telling, emotion and quirkiness. We particularly like her “She Sends the Wrong Vibe” collection that combines kinetic embroidery with film and music.

Lee comes from Taipei and has been living in London whilst studying Mixed Media Textiles at the Royal College of Art. Her East meets West dialogue is enticing and pioneering in the field of embroidery and we strongly recommend that you see her latest works. She’ll be exhibiting at our exciting new Guest Artists’ show at the iconic Museum in the Park during Stroud International Textiles Festival in May 2018.

Discover Pei-Chi Lee’s latest innovative textile samples in the Museum in the Park on May 5 – 6 from 11am – 5pm.
